Approach

I have achieved my PhD in the field of Health Psychology. My research was focused on exploring factors that could contribute to having a better quality of life for people with neurological chronic conditions, specifically, epilepsy. My clinical experience has also been focused on supporting people suffering from depression, anxiety in the context of long-term chronic conditions. The assessment will be gathered collaboratively to the client’s specific difficulties in line with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines. As part of my career, I have been taking the scientist therapist approach. I have been publishing a couple of journal articles which keeps me updated to follow the latest research to consistently update my practice.

Experience

I have 10 years of clinical experience in the adult mental health services, including the primary care within the National Health Service (NHS) of the United Kingdom, England; and the private sector. I provide online therapy and face to face Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) within the long-term and short-term capacity. In addition, therapy could be provided in the following languages: Azerbaijani and Farsi. I have experience working with couples, adults and adolescents. As an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), I adhere to good ethical guidelines in my clinical practice, which covers providing unbiased, safe and respectful space for clients.
