I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience providing psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to children, young people and adults.
Book a sessionSince completing my training my work has been focussed mainly on supporting neurodivergent children and young people. In my sessions I aim to provide a safe and nurturing space to allow clients to explore and pursue their values and meaningful goals. My therapeutic work is mainly grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I enjoy working creatively and adjusting my communication to the needs of the individual. My therapeutic work is strongly influenced by systemic and attachment approaches. I enjoy working in partnership with families and community services, focussing on understanding clients’ strengths and needs. I offer direct therapeutic work with children, young people and adults, parent support and consultations; the aim being an increased understanding of a person’s needs and supporting people in accessing opportunity to reach their full potential. I have a particular interest in working with people with long-term health conditions such as long covid, chronic fatigue and chronic pain. I have been on my own recovery journey from long covid since 2022. My clinical work and personal experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of how physical, psychological health and neurodiversity can impact on a person’s quality of life, relationships and opportunities. Prior to training as a Clinical Psychologist I worked with adults experiencing a range of difficulties such as insomnia, anxiety, low mood and addictions. Originally from Czechoslovakia, I am multilingual and have lived, studied and worked in the UK for almost 20 years. I know, first hand, the challenges (as well as the joy, excitement and adventure) presented by living and working in a foreign environment and culture. I now live in Cornwall and can offer therapy sessions and consultations online.
