Approach
Kuly uses a strengths based approach to therapy, empowering individuals to help them understand and overcome difficulties they are facing. Kuly is passionate about building on people’s existing skills and resources and works collaboratively to help them identify and achieve their goals. She works creatively to help make psychological concepts easy to understand and apply in everyday life. She is passionate about building a strong therapeutic relationship and giving people time and space to be listened to and understood.
Experience
Kuly is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, with almost ten years of experience working with children, families and adults in a variety of clinical and research contexts in the UK. As a Senior Psychologist in her current role she supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, psychosis, personality disorders, self-harm, trauma, substance misuse, anger/violence and other complex and enduring mental health difficulties. She also provides training and reflective practice sessions to support staff working in highly challenging and pressurised environments.
Kuly also specialises in supporting individuals with developmental difficulties including those with autism. She is also trained in administering and interpreting the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-II) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R).
She draws on narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and solution focused therapy (SFT).
