About me

I’m a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist with over 25 years of experience helping people navigate the lasting impact of trauma, low self-esteem, and difficult life experiences. I specialise in working with adults, children (aged 7+), and adolescents, offering a compassionate, non-judgmental space where healing and growth are truly possible. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based CBT, and I often draw on Compassion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Imagery Rescripting — particularly helpful when past experiences continue to shape present emotions and relationships. A significant part of my work focuses on supporting clients to rebuild self-worth, set healthy boundaries, and develop assertiveness—especially those who have been silenced or dismissed in their relationships or childhoods. I am passionate about helping people unlearn shame, speak up for themselves, and reconnect with their inner strength. I have extensive experience supporting women who feel overwhelmed, undervalued, or lost in their roles—whether personally, professionally, or within their families. Many of my clients come to therapy carrying the emotional burden of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the pressure to always “hold it together.” Together, we work to challenge those patterns and foster greater self-compassion, clarity, and confidence. I also have a background in supporting survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and sexual trauma, and hold Level 3 Safeguarding training. My previous work in social care has deeply shaped my trauma-informed approach. Sessions are available online or in person. If you’re feeling stuck, exhausted from self-doubt, or ready to make meaningful changes, I’m here to support you.
