Book a sessionElizabeth is a compassionate, motivated therapist with many years of experience. Her focus is to help clients struggling with emotional problems to make sense of their emotional life and the patterns of behaviour that have emerged. She will work collaboratively with her clients to identify where change is needed, either from existing emotional resources or the development of new skill sets. She believes that therapy is a chance to look at your emotional life in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Elizabeth qualified as a psychologist in 1998 and worked continuously in the NHS until 3 years ago. She has built up clinical experience on all aspects of adult mental health from primary care to crisis management and in-patient care. Her most recent post was as a senior psychologist in Enfield where she was part of a team providing a service to clients with severe and enduring mental health problems. Elizabeth has also been involved in the training of clinical psychologists and has offered supervision and support to other professionals throughout her career. She offers help with symptoms such as anxiety, depression or physical tension that may be exhausting and difficult to manage. She will work with you on patterns of behaviour that are frequently occurring such as relationship/friendship difficulties, interpersonal problems or struggles to assert yourself effectively. She has been trained in CBT and psychodynamic work and will often integrate these approaches and others to offer an approach tailored for your needs. Elizabeth has spent the last 3 years building up her private practice.
