I believe that effective therapy draws on clients’ strengths and resilience, enabling them to move forward in life even when changes seem impossible and to maintain progress after therapy is completed.
I have extensive experience of working with clients from a varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds with a range of psychological and emotional difficulties.
I regard myself as a culturally sensitive practitioner.
Over the years, I worked in a variety of settings which include voluntary sector such as Victim Support, charity organization including Diabetes UK – formally known as British Diabetic Association, Private Psychiatric Hospital and in Primary and Secondary Services within the NHS.
I believe I deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy for people across a range of groups and emotional and psychological difficulties some of which include Low Self-Esteem, Depression, Post Natal Depression (PND), Anxiety Disorders, Emotion Regulation Difficulties, Trauma and PTSD, Sleep problems, Stress Management and burnout, Bulimia, Gambling Addiction and Mindfulness.
Other more specialist difficulties I have experience of working with include Pain Management and health condition such as Diabetes.
I specialize in providing in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which I apply in range of disorders.
Furthermore, I a trained in Mindfulness Based approaches including Compassion Focus Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I have also be trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy.
