Approach
Aisling believes that the first step in any therapeutic journey is developing a trusting relationship with your therapist. She works with her clients in a compassionate and collaborative manner to achieve meaningful changes. She has experience delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy for people with a range of difficulties across the lifespan. Some of the difficulties she has treated include; depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, eating disorders, emotional regulation problems, stress management and dissociative and psychotic experiences. She has special interests in high functioning anxiety and early childhood trauma.
Experience
Aisling has worked across several NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in central London, utilising a range of different therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). This training and experience allows her to work integratively, drawing on different therapy models and approaches to build an approach that is carefully tailored to individual client needs. Her previous role was as a senior psychologist in the NHS, she now solely works in private practice.
