Experience
Dr Hayward is an engaging and approachable psychiatrist with 20+ years of experience.
She qualified in Medicine from Leicester Medical School in 2001, gained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2010, and graduated with an MSc in Medical Leadership from Warwick Business School in 2014 before leading the design, launch, delivery, and expansion of a new specialist perinatal mental health service in the South-West. In 2017 she became an NHS England Regional Perinatal Clinical Lead.
Prior to starting her private practice in 2020, Dr Hayward has almost two decades of experience as an NHS clinician, with extensive experience of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of all common psychiatric conditions, plus specialist training in conditions affecting parents and families in the perinatal period: pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and post-birth.
Dr Hayward is also interested in work-place mental health and fitness to work/study. To complement her clinical and leadership experience, she has additional training as an ILM-7 Executive Coach, enabling her to support wider organisational and individual development.
