Approach

Emma believes therapy is a journey of self-growth and every client is the expert of their own experiences and life. Therefore, she works collaboratively in tailoring the sessions and interventions to the needs of each individual client. She believes that therapy needs to happen in a safe, calm, and confidential space to allow each client to gain a better understanding of their individual self and reach their own potential. Emma is committed to developing a shared understanding of how each client’s difficulties have developed over time, and what factors might be maintaining the difficulties in the present.

Emma practices using strength-based, client-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive frameworks along with evidence-based psychologically informed interventions such as CBT, CFT, DBT, MBT, Narrative and Systemic Therapy.
