About me

I am passionate about helping people make sense of difficulties they might have faced in the past, as well as things they are struggling with in the present. I really enjoy learning from my clients about who they are, and what is important to them and to help them find a way forward through their difficulties. Whatever your background and circumstances I welcome anyone who feels they would like to access support with me. I appreciate that therapy can be somewhat daunting to start; I would really like to help you navigate any difficulties and help you start living a life that is meaningful to you. I can offer my experience in working in short-term and long-term therapy depending on the issues you wish to explore. I offer my warmth, compassion, and genuine intention to understand your experiences so that together we can work out what is the root of the matter. I have had additional training and supervision in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Motivational Interviewing. I draw on these different approaches depending on how you wish to work through your difficulties, from the outset we will agree together a way forward and a plan for therapy that helps you to achieve what you want from the sessions. I have been working in the NHS as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for 7 years, which I continue to do alongside offering private therapy. I am currently undertaking a Health Psychology masters due to working in a physical health service with clients living with long term health conditions. However, my previous experience has been with adults in the general population, and I am keen to continue working with people from all walks of life. At the moment i offer online therapy appointments, usually lasting 50 minutes and at present I have availability on Mondays. If this sounds like a set up that works for you, then please reach out if you have any questions or book in with me to see if I am the right therapist for you.
