You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside things feel overwhelming, tense, or hard to switch off. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Book a sessionI am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, trauma-related difficulties, depression, stress and burnout. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm or relationship strain. Others appear to be coping on the outside, but internally feel exhausted, on edge, or unable to switch off. My aim is to offer a space that is both grounded and focused — somewhere you can slow things down, make sense of what is happening, and begin to create meaningful and lasting change. My approach is collaborative and formulation-led. Rather than applying a standard set of techniques, we build a clear understanding of how your difficulties developed and what may be keeping them going. We then identify specific goals and a structured way forward, so therapy feels purposeful and not just exploratory. Alongside CBT, I integrate EMDR where past experiences continue to influence present-day reactions, and I draw on DBT skills when emotional intensity or impulsive patterns are part of the picture. I also incorporate elements of ACT and Compassion Focused Therapy, particularly where avoidance, shame or self-criticism are present. I have experience across NHS and private settings and am comfortable working with both focused and more complex, longer-standing difficulties. I pay close attention to pacing and stabilisation, while also supporting you to move towards meaningful change. Clients often value the balance of warmth, clarity and practicality I bring to sessions. My focus is not only on reducing symptoms, but on helping you develop skills and confidence that continue beyond therapy.
