About me

I work with individuals experiencing persistent low mood, reduced motivation, and longstanding patterns of self‑doubt. Many clients describe feeling disconnected from themselves or uncertain about their sense of identity and self‑worth. My role is to provide a structured, evidence‑based space in which we can understand these experiences and work towards meaningful, sustainable change. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and informed by a person‑centred therapeutic stance. I focus on helping clients identify and understand the patterns that contribute to low mood, self‑criticism, and emotional withdrawal. Sessions involve collaboratively examining these patterns, challenging unhelpful beliefs, and developing practical strategies that support emotional stability and improved functioning. Clients often describe my approach as calm, steady, and containing, and appreciate the clarity and structure I bring to complex or sensitive topics. I have extensive experience supporting adults with: - Long‑term or recurrent depression - Chronic self‑criticism and low self‑esteem - Perfectionism and high internal standards - Emotional detachment or loss of sense of self - The ongoing impact of earlier life experiences Therapy is tailored to your pace and needs. Some clients benefit from a structured, goal‑focused approach, while others require space to process and reflect before moving into more active work. My aim is to help you develop insight, strengthen emotional resilience, and build confidence in your ability to navigate challenges both now and in the future. If you are seeking a professional, reflective space to understand your difficulties and work towards greater stability and self‑connection, I would be glad to support you. I am a recognised provider with the following health insurance companies - AVIVA, AXA, Cigna, Vitality and WPA.
