About me

I trained to be a CBT Therapist after working nearly 10 years as a social worker in Mental Health with people with severe and enduring mental health problems, also specialising in working with older adults. I worked with people to become their own therapists, supervised by a Clinical Psychologist, I learnt how to apply Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in my work, then retained as a therapist myself. Since this time I have thoroughouly enjoyed the last 10 years of helping people harness the power to change, whatever stage they are at in their lives. Taking a very collaborative approach, I find I connect well with those I work with and set up a team approach to help people identify goals and learn stategies to move towards those goals. I work to empower people to take charge of their mental wellbeing and to learn evidence-based strategies for improving it, with an overall goal of helping people become their own therapist before we end our time limited work together. I look forward to getting to know you, your unique situation, your difficulties you would like to work on, and how I can support you with those.
