About me

Susannah is a clinical psychologist who has worked in the NHS for over 15 years, supporting people to manage and overcome psychological distress. She approaches her work with people with compassion, empathy, and a non-judgemental stance. Susannah has extensive experience working therapeutically with adults with a range of mental health difficulties, including low mood/depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, stress/burnout, trauma-related experiences (PTSD), and the emotional consequences of living with acute or chronic physical health problems. In particular, Susannah has a special interest in women’s health and in occupational burnout. She is trained and experienced in using a range of therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. After spending time to get to know the client and understand their specific struggles, she will work collaboratively with them to draw on a range of therapeutic skills and techniques, with the ultimate aim of the client reaching their therapeutic goals. As well as working clinically, Susannah currently works on the University of Oxford’s Clinical Psychology Doctorate Programme, teaching and training others on their path to becoming Clinical Psychologists, as well as supervising research in various fields of mental health.
