About me

I am a qualified accredited CBT psychotherapist, worked over 18 years in Mental Health through CAMHS and Adults within NHS and Private sector those facing the challenges of neurodivergence involved supporting those on the autistic spectrum as well as clients with obsessive compulsive disorder and ADHD; focusing on the symptoms of anxiety and depression which may accompany these conditions, which may be negatively affecting their mental health given the tools which they may have developed over time and are contributing to their present low mood or poor self-esteem. My work is primarily to develop self-awareness in the individual, non-judgemental, respectful manner explore ways daily life and collaboratively work through techniques and to enable positive change to take place in a manner, they find comfortable. I offer 10-15 minutes free on line sessions (via zoom or skype) as I realize entering into therapy can sometimes create feelings of anxiety. In this meeting we can discuss your present difficulties and the ways in which you feel therapy may be able to help. I can introduce CBT techniques which may help challenge cognitive distortions as well as using a range of techniques from an integrative therapeutic model which may likewise be helpful. Having this range of tools enriches my work and allows for flexibility to address the needs of the individual client. I have a multi-cultural background which adds another layer to my work and has enabled me to work with clients from a diverse range of cultures, ethnicity and religions. In my therapeutic areas work on issues of low self-esteem, ARFID, OCD, depression and anxiety as well as neurodiversity. I can work in a solution focused short term manner involving up to 6 or 10 sessions or ongoing support if this is required.
