About me

I chose to become a therapist because I am passionate about helping people gain a better understanding of themselves and navigate life's challenges. I believe that therapy offers a safe and supportive environment for open discussion, exploration of thoughts and feelings, and meaningful personal growth. My therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I customize our sessions to address your specific needs, ensuring that you feel comfortable and heard throughout our work together. I firmly believe that everyone possesses the capacity for change and personal development, and I see therapy as a powerful tool for unlocking that potential. My role is to support you in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and achieving a more balanced and fulfilling life. With over 12 years of experience as a therapist in various settings, including private practice and the NHS, I specialize in helping individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals through significant life changes, such as career transitions, relationship issues, and coping with loss. I obtained my qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy over 15 years ago, which form the foundation of my current practice. I have received training in Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Couples Therapy, and Grief & Bereavement. I spent 4 years working with families who experienced the unexpected loss of a child or dealt with limited life expectancy, miscarriage, and infant loss. I received specialized training to effectively support individuals. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP), demonstrating my commitment to providing high-quality care and working within ethical guidelines. I engage in supervision every 4 weeks to ensure that I maintain these high standards.
