About me

Sarah offers a caring, attentive and sincere approach and works in partnership with her clients. She is dedicated to creating and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship throughout. Ensuring a safe base allows the client and Sarah to explore the client’s struggles and to make a plan of how obstacles can be overcome and dealt with in pursuit of valued derived goals. Her work with clients is informed by evidence and her practice is individualised to meet the needs of clients. She practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Sarah is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with 10 years’ experience working across age ranges, diverse backgrounds and with those living with varying degrees of psychological, emotional, and physical health difficulties. She has worked with individuals, couples, carers and groups. Working across a multitude of settings has provided Sarah with rich experiences of areas of work including sexual health and psychosexual problems, weight management and obesity services, chronic pain service and the diabetes service. Dealing with all aspects associated with living with long term health conditions is a particular area of expertise. Difficulties including anxiety, trauma/PTSD, adjustment and acceptance issues, grief and bereavement, depression, anger, stress, burnout, relationships, psychosexual problems, unhealthy eating behaviours. As well as her clinical work she also has extensive experience in delivering training, teaching, supervision and consultation to various staff groups from different organisations. Alongside her work with HelloSelf she currently works as a University Clinical Lecturer and Tutor for the Clinical Psychology Trainees undertaking the Doctorate Clinical Psychology training programme. Also she currently works as a Clinical Psychologist for the NHS in Adult Cancer Services.
