Approach
William is a Counselling Psychologist with advanced training in psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). He has developed a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to working with human diversity and identity including personal, social, racial, cultural, relational, gender and sexual diversity. He has developed a specialism in neurodiversity, working with clients presenting with Autism and ADHD. As a certified ADOS-2 practitioner, and working towards his ADI-R certification to enable him to conduct Autism Assessments. William is a compassionate professional, adept at creating safe psychological spaces for clients to freely explore their lived experiences. With his focused and gentle support, offering clients an opportunity to reframe their mental health challenges in a new light, and to hopefully, find their own solution. Having previously worked as a chaplain, William’s experiences combined with evidence-based approaches, he offers clients for whom religion and spirituality are important concerns, a safe place to reflect, discern and decide what living their lives authentically might mean for them.
