Approach
Rehana offers a non-judgemental approach in therapy. She is a people person and understands when individuals attend therapy they may be carrying many issues which she helps to untangle through her compassionate approach. She spends time getting to know you, listening to your needs and fully understand your situation so she can work with you to identify your goals for therapy. Rehana will work with you to develop a treatment plan.
Experience
Rehana has practiced as a Health Psychologist for over 12 years in the NHS and private sector. She predominately works with adults offering detailed assessment, advice and therapy. Rehana has substantial expertise in working with people with chronic conditions or life limiting conditions, medically unexplained symptoms, trauma, anxiety and depression. The main therapeutic models Rehana uses include CBT, EMDR,, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Islamic Psychology. Rehana’s main specialisms and areas of interest include trauma, long term conditions (including chronic pain, long covid, diabetes, cancer, chronic fatigue), mental health eg anxiety and stress, depression, PTSD, OCD, self-esteem. Rehana speaks fluent Urdu.
