Approach

I am a multilingual (English, and Greek speaking) Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist, recognised by leading professional organisations: as a Chartered member by The British Psychological Society (CPsychol), and as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist) by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), offering online therapy. I have worked clinically in a number of settings within mental health care industry and with clients from a variety of backgrounds, presenting long term complex/severe, moderate and mild psychological difficulties. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and have been also trained in Schema Therapy , Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy as well as Systemic approach. I do employ a person-centered approach, drawn upon each individual’s needs and through an individualised process based on a combination of narrative, self reflection along with practical strategies/ techniques we do achieve to alleviate the emotional pain and to eliminate the obstacles, improve your quality of life and your relationships. I can support you through the journey of personal exploration and crisis management, working with you empathetically as a team, building up your strengths and embracing your weaknesses, challenging the unhelpful patterns and improving your relationship with yourself and others. By the end of this journey you will gain wisdom of growth and self- awareness

Experience

I have over 8 years of post-qualification experience, working in independent and national mental health services across UK as well as corporate settings, offering a highly specialist psychological service to adults with long-term ad enduring mental difficulties ( severe-moderate-mild) and subject matter expertise in other to clinical settings. I am experienced in conducting psychological assessments and risk assessments, planning and delivery of evidence-based interventions/therapy for mental health difficulties with acute or chronic presentations. I have a special clinical interest and experience with Personality disorders and has also worked therapeutically with different client groups ( different age/ ethnic backgrounds) employing a wide range of therapeutic approaches, achieving excellent results. I also provide:

  • Expert witness reports to adults involved in legal proceedings
  • Complex mental health assessments and formulation treatment planning and therapy for patients with history of sexual abuse, risk of self-harm/suicide
  • Relapse retention plans
  • Clinical oversight and responsibility of own case load

My passion and active involvement in the psychology field though expands also in areas of leadership, service development and management. I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families where a relational lens helps understand and improve emotional distress.
