
Omar qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012 and has worked in the area of Adult Mental Health within various health settings including the NHS, private and corporate sectors.

Omar is a compassionate, warm and approachable individual and is passionate about helping clients apply evidence-based, psychologically informed techniques and strategies to improve their quality of life and mental and physical wellbeing. Omar is a HCPC and Chartered Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with adults across the entire life span, he has over 15 years working in the area of adult mental health supporting individuals who experience wide ranging and complex mental health and physical health difficulties. Omar completed his clinical training at Manchester University, and has specialist training in working with long-term physical health conditions and is acutely aware of the relationship between our mental and physical health. Omar is also a Honorary Recognised Teacher at Liverpool University’s Division of Clinical Psychology training programme. A proficient therapist, Omar is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and adept in the following therapeutic approaches: - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Eye Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-- - Mentalisation-based Therapy (MBT) - Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Omar is a Chartered member of British Psychological Society (BPS) which is testament to gold standard practice in areas of professional and ethical conduct and clinical practice. Omar is experienced in working with individuals, groups and delivering therapy remotely using telephone, video and digital platforms.
