About me

Oliver has extensive experience providing evidence-based therapy across a range of settings, including the NHS, charities and private practice. He has worked in both inpatient and outpatient care. Across these services he has seen individuals with a diverse range of difficulties ranging from complex and enduring mental health problems to those with acute life stresses. Oliver believes that collaboration and development of the therapeutic relationship are essential. He uses an integrative approach of multiple therapies to ensure that your experience is uniquely tailored to your own difficulties and strengths. He will work with empathy and flexibility to help you identify your own personal goals, make sense of your experiences, and work towards a more fulfilling life. Clinically, Oliver has specialist experience in trauma, complex trauma, and personality disorders. He has been working with difficult presentations for many years and his NHS role is dedicated to working with individuals that have the most long-term and enduring mental health needs. He also has a particular interest in improving access to psychological therapies, particularly for individuals from marginalised backgrounds, or for those who feel anxious about attending. He works hard to provide an inclusive and welcoming space. The main therapeutic approaches that Oliver draws upon are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. The difficulties he has worked with include anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, addiction, bereavement, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, abuse, stress and loss of motivation.
