About me

My core area of specialism is trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and the far reaching emotional, psychological, and physical impacts of early and recent overwhelming or traumatic experiences.I have worked with adults of all ages affected by diverse traumas such as childhood abuse, road traffic accidents, military and police service trauma, human trafficking, adult assaults, and fertility-related trauma. In addition, I support individuals navigating a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, burnout, stress, imposter syndrome, and challenges in relationships. My therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-based, and formulation-led.Being formulation-led means that I work collaboratively with you to develop a personalised understanding of your experiences, thoughts, feelings, actions, and physical responses. This helps us identify what might be keeping you stuck and guides us in choosing the most helpful ways to work through your challenges. It means therapy stays flexible and focused on what you need as you progress.I draw on modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also bring significant experience working with autistic children and adolescents, as well as neurodivergent people more broadly, underpinned by academic research in this field. I am committed to providing high quality, inclusive care that honours each individual’s background and lived experience.I strive to create a welcoming therapeutic space that affirms and respects diversity across race, culture, gender identity, and LGBTQ+ identities and lived experiences. My goal is to support individuals in making meaningful, lasting changes within a safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and am a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
