I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space to help us understand your difficulties together. I have extensive experience supporting people with complex and long-standing mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and self-criticism. I’ve also spent many years working in NHS trauma services and have specialist training in trauma-focused work, supporting people to process traumatic experiences safely and move forward .I have worked within national specialist research projects working with people who are experiencing voice hearing and other unusual experiences. I feel passionate about helping people achieve meaning recovery. I work with clients who may be experiencing a range of difficulties for example: depression, anxiety ,unusual experiences or voice hearing, or trauma related symptoms. Our initial sessions will be focused on creating a shared plan of how to tackle your difficulties and what recovery looks like for you. We will review our progress throughout therapy, we hope to see an improvement in symptoms and a reduce in distress within the first half of therapy. I use a tailored individualised approach which will best suit your needs. The main therapeutic approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) ,Compassion Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).During the sessions we will work on a shared understanding of your difficulties, to help guide how we tackle tricky loops of thoughts, feelings and behaviours .
