About me

Sometimes life leads us to a place where we pause and wonder, How did I get here? The truth is, while we can't control everything that happens to us, we always have choices, and sometimes we just need help to see those choices. My role is to help you make sense of your past, understand the patterns that may be holding you back, and discover new ways forward that feel right for you. With a strong foundation in psychology and decades of experience across mental health services, I've worked with people of all ages facing a wide range of challenges. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and specifically Schema based approaches. I've practiced evidence-based methods since the late 1990s. Alongside this, I integrate modern developments such as compassion-focused approaches, Acceptance and Commitment principles, and insights from neuroscience and wellbeing research. I've been involved not only in clinical practice but also in research and innovation - helping to develop and improve therapies, and making them more accessible through telephone, video, and online sessions. What does this mean for you? You'll be working with someone who is experienced, approachable, and committed to help-ing you find practical, meaningful change - at your pace. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to understand yourself better, therapy can offer a space to reflect, reset, and move forward. You don't have to figure it all out alone. Get in touch to arrange an appointment and take that first step.
