About me

I will work collaboratively with you to help explore how and why you struggle and enable you to understand and manage these challenges more effectively. As you learn to step back from difficulties and the distress caused you will be better able to discover new choices that can help change your life. I am warm and friendly and have been told by my clients that I am very easy to talk to and that they can tell me anything without worrying I will judge them. I have over 18 years’ experience working in the NHS and private practice, offering assessment and therapy for individuals. I assess and treat adults with a broad range of mental health problems. Using an evidence based approach, I draw on a range of therapeutic models to tailor the therapy to the need of the individuals I work with. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2006. My training included working with adults and children with a wide range of difficulties including, anxiety disorders, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, obsessive compulsive disorder and childhood difficulties. I have a particular interest in anxiety disorders and completed my doctorate research investigation into different Cognitive Models of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
