Hello. My name is Lucy. Welcome to my profile. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Developmental Psychologist, and Existential and Mindfulness Coach.
Book a sessionAs an Integrative Psychotherapist, I do not believe that one cap fits all. I am thus trained in various therapeutic theories including Person-centred counseling which originates from Existential philosophy, Psychodynamics therapy, and CBT. I also have extensive training in Existential and Jungian therapies. Originating from this background as an Integrative Psychotherapist, I have gained much experience working in substance abuse residential services and CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) as well as numerous other organizations. Working within these organizations, I noticed that many of my clients had a history of childhood abuse. I therefore became curious about the potential relationship between substance abuse and deleterious family environments during childhood. Following this interest which I wanted to develop, I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my postgraduate degree in Family and Child Psychology, specifically working with families at risk. In recent years, I have also achieved a PhD in Existential Philosophy from which I have gained an extra qualification as a Philosophical Coach. Within this role, I help people obtain meaning in their lives by collaboratively exploring their values and how they can use them to give meaning. My most recent qualification obtained earlier this year is as a Mindfulness Coach. My various qualifications enable me to work with and help me to support people with various difficulties. Despite my specialisation in trauma, I work with people presenting with numerous difficulties such as trauma-related struggles such as anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, relationship issues, and substance abuse, among others. My numerous tools therefore enable me to support many people.
