A warm and friendly therapist with over 10 years of experience as a CBT Therapist. I can help with difficulties such as anxiety, stress, depression and trauma.
Book a sessionThrough CBT I provide a structured approach that will help you manage your mental health differently. CBT will look at unhelpful patterns in the way you are thinking and behaving, and give you clear ideas for how to make changes. Interpersonal Psychotherapy looks at how our relationships impact feelings of low mood and depression. IPT can help with processing changes in relationships, ongoing disputes and bereavement. Our first assessment session will give us the opportunity to work out which therapy will suit you best, and plan our work together. I am particularly passionate about working with clients during the peri-natal period, as this can have a huge impact on the mental health of both parents. I can support postnatal depression and anxiety in either parent, working with trauma following a difficult birth or extreme anxiety before childbirth. I can also work with couples where there are difficulties in adjusting to the new normal. For the last 8 years, I have championed working with clients that have Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities. I can support clients in therapy by adapting my approach to meet your specific needs. There is good evidence that CBT can be a helpful therapy for adults with these diagnoses. Outside of my private practice, I hold a senior management position within the NHS as a Highly Specialist CBT Therapist.
