About me

Anxiety can be overwhelming sometimes can’t it? Its ok to be anxious (it doesn't feel ok though does it). I’m sorry to hear you are finding things difficult right now. We are often told to just stop being anxious but you and I know that simply does not work. Sometimes we need support and someone to tell us ‘its ok to feel that way’ and that ‘I’m here and I'm listening.’ In my therapy we are in it together. I will support you, guide you, offer you validation and compassion at a time when you need it most. I can help you think and behave in a more helpful way and also encourage conversation when things have fallen off track. I have 14 years of experience in working with people with mental health difficulties including substance misuse and bereaved older adults. 10 of those years have been spent working in the NHS offering talking therapies to those with common mental health difficulties such as Anxiety. I currently work in the NHS offering psychological support to NHS staff. I am a qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist which is a NICE Guidelines recommended treatment to treat difficulties such as OCD, GAD, Phobias, Social Anxiety, Panic and PTSD. I have a keen interest in social anxiety, GAD, phobias and stress. I offer structured yet person-centred therapy, so I will tailor therapy to meet your needs.
