About me

I became a therapist because I have always wanted to work in the caring profession. I love psychology, I find it fascinating, and I love my job. CBT fascinates me and I love the fact that it works to empower people to help themselves. I find this really rewarding. I like supporting clients in understanding their maintenance cycles and with breaking unhelpful patterns. CBT is special to me because it really can work well and has a strong evidence. My therapy style is very collaborative. I work closely with you to tailor our sessions to your specific needs, making sure you feel comfortable and heard throughout the process. I like to treat everyone individually and respect people from all different backgrounds. I am very much in favour of equal opportunities no matter what race or sexuality you are or whether you have a disability or not. I am very positive in my approach and I like to help people become the best version of themselves. Most of my experience to date has been working in Talking Therapies services in primary care, delivering CBT, EMDR and BCT to individuals with depression and anxiety problems and couples to improve their relationships. In the past three years, I have been working in tertiary care in an Eating Disorder service, helping people with anorexia, bulimia, OSFED, BED, and ARFID to overcome their problems. In this service, I use MANTRA , CBT, and EMDR to help promote change. I have a BA degree and MSC in Applied Psychology as well as PG Diploma in CBT and a qualification in EMDR and Behavioural Couple Therapy. My degree and MSC in particular increased my interest in this profession. I love CBT in particular, and helping people achieve the change that they are looking for. I am accredited with the BABCP and am committed to high standards of care.
