About me

I use a pluralistic approach. This means that I am trained and have practised in a range of therapy models including CBT, psychodynamic and systemic therapies. How I use these is tailored to your specific difficulties and what best suits your needs. Though I use my expertise to determine what would best fit, it is also important to me to involve you in this conversation. Having worked in mental health for the past ten years across a variety of clinical settings, I can help address a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, phobias, grief, depression and low mood, psychosis, addiction, trauma, compulsive behaviours and relationship difficulties. Alongside my private practice, I currently work at a busy NHS teaching hospital where I work with the psychological impact of acute and chronic health difficulties, health-based trauma and health inequalities. Having completed my doctoral research in this area, I have a particular specialism in working with individuals experiencing sexual difficulties. This includes sexual dysfunction, low desire, compulsive or addictive sexual behaviours. Having worked at an LGBTQ+ focussed NHS psychosexual service, I am sensitive to difficulties associated with sexuality and gender diversity, as well as non-traditional relationship arrangements and the full spectrum of sexual practices. If you're interested in working together, please get in touch. We can then discuss your difficulties and whether I feel I would be the right person to help, as well as giving you the opportunity to see if you feel the relationship would be a good fit
