About me

Jackie offers a compassionate space in her work with individuals, families and professionals. She uses an integrative approach highlighting an individuals resources and strengths to support them in achieving their potential. She is a warm, non-judgemental, thoughtful and engaging clinical psychologist. Over the past 19 years she has supported many children who are struggling with a wide range of psychological difficulties as part of her work for the NHS, social services and independent sectors. She seeks to understands and support the whole family’s needs and works closely with relevant professionals to enable long term meaningful and positive change for all those concerned. She is trained in a wide range of approaches including parenting approaches such as The Incredible Year Programme and Parent Child Game. She also has substantial experience working as part of a family therapy team. Jackie aims to help young people and families find solutions to their dilemmas and integrates relevant therapies and techniques to best meet their unique needs. Jackie completed her Clinical Psychology Doctorate Training at the University of Lancaster in 2003. She has since gained substantial and varied experience across different sectors. She is an associate clinical tutor and clinical supervisor on the Lancaster Doctorate Clinical Psychology programme. Jackie has a strong interest and experience in working with neurodiverse individuals, working together to harness strengths and identify solutions to move towards their preferred future.
