About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Ivana, I'm a qualified and accredited psychotherapist with considerable experience in working with individuals (age 16+) who experience mental health difficulties or go through a challenging period in their life and find themselves struggling. My clinical practice is informed by an integrative approach, i.e. I draw on a range of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Additionally, I’m also qualified in providing psychological support in the context of physical health problems such as chronic pain, cancer and other long-term health conditions. Embarking on a therapeutic journey can be daunting, that’s why I believe fostering a genuine, warm and caring therapeutic relationship is essential. At the beginning of treatment, we will explore the difficulties you are experiencing, including their origins and maintenance factors, and develop a shared understanding of your needs and goals in therapy. I will help you to make sense of your experiences by putting them into context, which will allow us to gain a greater insight and understanding of how to facilitate change. In every step of the journey, I will be there to listen, provide emotional support, validate your experience, appropriately challenge, and motivate you to make changes that matter to you. My aim will be to equip you with effective strategies and techniques that will enable you to continue your journey beyond our sessions. As an accredited BABCP therapist, I adhere to the BABCP’s Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice. I offer therapy in English and German online and face-to-face in NW1 London. Insurers I work with: Aviva, AXA, Cigna, WPA
