Book a sessionMany people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, or a sense of being stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of that process. I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with 9 years of experience supporting adults across NHS services and private practice. I have extensive experience working with anxiety disorders including Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and OCD, as well as depression, trauma, perfectionism and low self-esteem. My therapy style is gentle, collaborative and compassionate. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and making sense of the patterns that may be affecting their wellbeing. My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I also integrate elements of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in developing emotional awareness, self-compassion and new ways of responding to difficult thoughts and feelings. I specialise in supporting difficulties related to self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, cultural identity and the transition into motherhood. As a British South Asian woman and mother, I am passionate about supporting South Asian women and mothers in a culturally sensitive way, particularly during the perinatal period. My academic training includes a Bachelors in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am fully accredited with the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP) and regularly update my practice through ongoing professional development.
