About me

I offer therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, life transitions, long-term health conditions, adjustment to illness and trauma. I also have a particular interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and the emotional impact of physical health difficulties more broadly. People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, changed by illness, or struggling to adjust to something life did not prepare them for. My approach is warm, thoughtful and practical. I aim to create a space where you feel understood without judgement, while also helping you move towards meaningful change. I work in a way that is evidence-based, trauma-informed and tailored to you. This means taking time to understand the bigger picture of your life, including your relationships, history, values and current challenges, rather than focusing only on symptoms. My training includes CBT, ACT, CFT, DBT, and narrative and systemic approaches, but I always shape therapy around the person in front of me and what they want from therapy. I recognise that distress does not happen in a vacuum and is often shaped by the body, relationships, work, identity, culture and life circumstances. Some people come wanting space to reflect more deeply, while others are looking for something more structured and practical. Often, therapy involves both. I have particular understanding of how health difficulties, healthcare systems, work stress and major life changes can affect a person’s sense of self, relationships and ability to cope. I value cultural sensitivity and offer therapy in English or Italian. My hope is to offer a space where you can make sense of what is happening, feel more grounded, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
