Book a sessionMy approach is to work together with you to help you make sense of any difficulties, and give you a sense of agency and autonomy. I hope to offer a warm, welcoming space where we can work together to meet your needs. I have experience working with individuals with a neurodiverse diagnosis in particular difficulties related to ADHD and autism as well as those who have experienced trauma. My work is centred on a trauma informed approach and infant observation. Within my practice I use Art Therapy and EMDR as well as more traditional approaches like talking therapy. Art therapy offers a way of communicating and processing experiences and emotions through images and materials. There is no need to be good at art, or even make art in therapy, to benefit from my approach, just a willingness to try a different way of communicating through creative approaches. EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that enables people to heal from symptoms of emotional distress which are often a result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR or eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing is an eight-phase treatment. As part of the treatment eye movements (or other bilateral stimulation) are used during processing sessions. EMDR-Art Therapy utilises both the process of art psychotherapy and EMDR.
