She delivers approved psychological treatment protocols to patient experiencing moderate to severe anxiety and depression in line with NICE guidelines. She abides by the professional and ethical standards laid down by the BABCP and she has full professional indemnity and current DBS clearance. Folake is a fully accredited practitioner with the British Association of Behaviour and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) with over 10 years’ experience of working with a range of complex behavioural and emotional problems. Her main interests are in the treatment of mood disorders (depression and low self-esteem) and anxiety disorders including social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder with / without agoraphobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), specific phobia and stress. She is qualified and experienced in the treatment mental health issues related to long term health conditions. As well as providing evidence base treatment. She is trained to also to incorporate ‘3rd wave’ CBT approaches including self-compassion therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Her qualifications are a Bsc Psychology, Msc in Child, adolescent and family mental health, PGDip in CBT and a PG Cert in Mental health Studies.
