About me

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, self-doubt, or difficult, perhaps traumatic, past experiences start to take up more space in your life. You may find yourself stuck in patterns of overthinking, self-criticism, or feeling under constant pressure to cope. I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I aim to provide a safe and respectful environment where you feel able to talk openly about what you are going through, at a pace that feels manageable for you. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), and EMDR. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to your individual needs while helping you develop practical tools for managing difficult thoughts and emotions. Many people I work with struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, low self-confidence, burnout, or the impact of trauma or difficult life experiences. Some have spent a long time putting pressure on themselves or prioritising the needs of others, which can leave them feeling drained or disconnected from their own needs. In our work together, we gently explore the patterns behind these struggles and develop more supportive ways of relating to yourself. My aim is to help you build greater understanding of yourself, develop practical strategies for coping with difficult emotions, and move towards a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
