CBT Therapist and final year Trainee Clinical Psychologist. Specialised in working with those who are neurodivergent, families, anxiety and depression.
Book a sessionI'm a qualified CBT therapist with experience working with various issues with individuals and couples. I am also undertaking extensive training as a clinical psychologist at the University of East Anglia. I have experience working with people who have experienced trauma and abuse in their childhood and adult relationships and in helping people with depression and anxiety after such experiences. I have a particular interest in working with those who are neurodivergent. As a person with ADHD I appreciate the challenges that can be faced in fully engaging in therapy. I am also aware of the vulnerabilities experiences of being neurodivergent can have on our relationships, such as feelings of being different, never being good enough or not being able to trust ourselves and our experiences. These underlying vulnerabilities may leave someone particularly vulnerable to an abusive or manipulative person. Additionally, I am experienced in working with various ages, including children and teenagers, for difficulties like anxiety, depression or eating disorders. My approach to working with younger children differs slightly from a CBT approach, instead of working with the family as a whole. I tailor therapy specifically to the person or couple I am working with. Collaboration is key in therapy, and I strive to empower individuals by bringing out their strengths, working towards their goals and helping them to create a new story about themselves and their experiences.
