Consultant Clinical Psychologist with a focus on exploration and bringing different perspectives to help aid understanding and start the process of healing.
Book a sessionI am a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist. I work as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS. My approach involves working collaboratively with individuals, couples, families and teams to develop a shared understanding of the patterns they want to change or enhance. This often involves identifying existing strengths and supporting clients to increase their confidence in them. This can be helpful when difficult and often traumatic experiences have eroded people's confidence in their own adeptness. This includes significant experience of supporting clients with neurodiversity. My main approach is CBT based. I am also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behaviour Family Therapy (BFT). I am skilled at working across the range of traditionally defined diagnostic categories, although my preference is a move away categories to understanding the individual's needs. Get in touch if you are looking for a space to explore and develop a narrative that helps make sense of the past and supports you to increase confidence about the future. This could either be in individual sessions, with partners or with families to: develop a shared understanding, improve communication and reduce conflict.
