About me

Currently working as an independent Psychologist in Private practice, Diana provides counselling/therapy for adults. Previous experiences include working with cancer patients and their caregivers at Europacolon Portugal, providing care for patients with dementia in a nursing home, and volunteering at MacMillan Horizon Centre in Brighton. Within her professional approach, Diana utilizes a varied array of clinical methodologies, integrating Client-centered, Existential, Mindfulness, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She possesses linguistic fluency in both English and Portuguese, enabling smooth communication and transcending cultural boundaries. Diana has provided counselling since 2012 for various issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, disturbed sleep, caregiver stress, family and relationship issues, chronic pain, illness and disability, co-morbidity, hospice and end-of-life counselling, life purpose, and immigration issues. As an expert witness, Diana extends her services by providing psychological assessments and medico-legal reports to court, specializing in immigration cases. This crucial role involves leveraging her expertise to offer valuable insights and professional opinions, contributing to the understanding of psychological aspects relevant to immigration proceedings. Creating a safe and nurturing environment is essential to her approach, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. She strives to empower clients, encouraging the use of their own resources and strengths to achieve desired outcomes. She firmly believes in the potential of everyone to make positive changes in their lives and is dedicated to guiding clients on their journey to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
