Book a sessionI am a warm and compassionate Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who has fourteen years’ experience of working as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and six years as a counsellor. I have gained my experience working for counselling services in trauma areas, Cruse Bereavement, working for a large charity (I ran and set up the CBT service), GP Practices, running my own CBT Practice and working in the NHS as a locum three days a week for the past six years. I also worked for the NHS at weekends during Covid to help NHS staff who were traumatised. My many years of experience has helped me to gain a good insight into my client’s issues and to help them to reach their end goals of coming to therapy. I have experienced working with Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, Specific Phobia, PTSD, complex Trauma, Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Trichotillomania (hair pulling/eye lash pulling), Addiction, Self-Meditation, Suicide, Self-Harm, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Sleeping problems, Addiction, Bereavement (grief), Stress Management, Anger Management, Mindfulness Meditation and mild Bulimia (eating disorder). I am passionate about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy because it is an education as well as a therapy and if you are willing to do the work you will see the results. Special Interests: I have a special interest in working with clients who are traumatised or who have symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and with clients who have been sexually abused. I have Level 5 in Trauma Focused CBT and have successfully counselled clients with symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) in the NHS using Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) via online Platform.
