Christina is a warm and compassionate clinical psychologist who works collaboratively with clients.
Book a sessionThis collaboration allows Christina and her clients to reach a shared understanding of their difficulties and draws on a variety of evidence-based approaches to meet their needs. Christina works with a range of issues such as low mood and depression, anxiety related difficulties, anger, and PTSD. In addition, Christina has a particular interest, extensive experience and training in working with individuals with personality disorders and trauma. Christina has an honours degree in Psychology (BSc) and completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at the University of Southampton. She is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and has Chartered Practitioner status with the British Psychological Society. Christina has over 15 years experience of working within different NHS services and has worked in forensic settings, specialised personality disorder services, and adult community mental health teams. In those settings she has worked with individuals with diverse and complex mental health and personality difficulties. In the last five years Christina has worked in private practice alongside her NHS role. Christina is a certified MBT practitioner and undertook her MBT training at The Anna Freud Centre. She has published a Swedish book on MBT theory and practice and undertaken post-graduate training in psychological approaches to risk assessment and management, CBT, and DBT. She is currently completing training in EMDR and has experience in using CFT and Narrative Exposure therapy.
