Bano’s diverse background has provided her with the awareness and sensitivity of taking into consideration the client’s cultural, religious and ethnic background whilst providing evidence based interventions. Bano completed her clinical psychological training from University College London (UCL) and worked in the NHS for 15 years. She has experience of working with clients across the life span for a variety of psychological, neurological and neurodevelopment conditions. Some of the difficulties that she has treated and provided psychoeducation/ management for include: depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, stress management, personality disorder, interpersonal/ emotion regulation issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD, Autism, Mild Cognitive Impairment and Dementia . Bano specialises in providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which she applies to a range of disorders. Furthermore she is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
