About me

I believe in the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, empathy, and respect to promote change and healing. People I do therapy with describe me as a caring and sensitive person, down to heart and direct, who helps them see things from different perspectives. I offer a compassionate and integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from various modalities to address each individual's needs and abilities. In my work, I use systemic theories to look at relational contexts in which people experience their difficulties, combined with psychodynamic and attachment theories to address the inner world, including in a relationship with a caregiver. I also draw from cognitive theories like CBT and DBT to work more on the here and now of the symptoms. When working specifically with trauma, I ad somatic work, Internal Family System and modified EMDR for CPTSD. I have extensive experience in various clinical settings, including within the NHS, I have a deep understanding of mental health challenges, including psychiatric conditions like psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe depression and personality disorder. I have a special interest and years of experience in supporting individuals and couples who have experienced trauma. Special interest: PTSD and Complex PTSD Bipolar Disorder Psychosis Persistent depression and anxiety Migration and expat challenges Relationship issues
