About me

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who offers thoughtful, compassionate support to help you navigate the emotional and psychological impact of difficult life events. I specialise in working with people living with chronic or acute health conditions, as well as those caring for loved ones with physical illness, including both life limiting and life altering diagnoses. Many people come to me feeling lost or overwhelmed, noticing that the ways they once coped no longer feel available or effective as their circumstances or health have changed. Our work together is tailored entirely to you. We begin by exploring what your hopes are for support. For some, this means having a space where your experiences can be witnessed, or where you can talk openly about things that feel too heavy to share with loved ones. For others, it may involve developing practical coping strategies, building resilience and self compassion, or reconnecting with the values and relationships that matter most. You and I will figure out these first questions together. My approach focuses on helping you feel understood and empowered. I aim to create a safe, non judgemental space where you can reflect at your own pace and feel supported in making meaningful and sustainable changes that draw on your strengths. My usual treatment approach is a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and will be based entirely on your individual hopes and goals for support and change. There is never pressure or expectation, instead we will figure things out together as a team.
