I have worked clinically for over 10 years, providing psychological support to children, young people and adults with a range of difficulties, within the NHS and other mental health settings.

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and 8 years’ post-doctoral experience working across various mental health settings, including the NHS, charitable and private sectors and international education in Asia. I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training. I obtained a First-Class degree in Psychology and completed my doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Experience: I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a range of mental health presentations (anxiety disorders, panic, depression, challenging behaviours, PTSD, OCD, separation anxiety, health and social anxiety). With special interests in depression and high functioning anxiety, perfectionism, complex PTSD, low self-esteem and postnatal and parenting issues. Approach: I have an integrative approach to working with clients, using evidenced-based therapies including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic approaches, Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). This can involve individual work, family work or parenting interventions. Including when necessary consultative work with other relevant professionals, including schools. Other interests: My doctoral research looked at cultural factors influencing the outcomes of therapy (published 2021). I love exploring the role of culture in our experience of life. I'm very interested in the connection between our mind and body and love yoga outside of work. Since becoming a mother, I also have a passion for supporting people through the postnatal period, which has simultaneous struggle and growth.
