I have worked clinically for over 10 years, providing psychological support to children, young people and adults with a range of difficulties, within CAMHS and adult mental health settings.
Book a sessionI love working holistically with people to overcome difficult periods in their lives and bring a thoughtful and compassionate approach into all my working relationships. I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and experience working across various mental health settings, including the NHS, charitable and private sectors and international education in Asia. I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training. I obtained a First-Class degree in Psychology and completed my doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Experience: I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents (within CAMHS services across London) and with adults with a range of mental health presentations. Including anxiety, panic, depression, challenging behaviours, PTSD, OCD, separation anxiety, health and social anxiety. With special interests high functioning anxiety, perfectionism, complex PTSD and postnatal/parenting issues. Approach: My therapeutic approach is integrative, using evidenced-based therapies including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). I utilise systemic theory and psychodynamic ideas in my work. I work holistically considering lifestyle and relationships in my formulation. This can involve individual work, family work or parenting interventions. Other interests: My doctoral research looked at cultural factors influencing the outcomes of therapy (published 2021). I love exploring the role of culture in our experience of life. I'm very interested in the connection between our mind and body and love yoga outside of work. Since becoming a mother, I also have a passion for supporting people through the postnatal period, which has simultaneous struggle and growth.
