About me

Approach Adam offers a compassionate and non-judgemental space to the clients he works with, where he helps them make sense of the difficulties they are experiencing. He supports individuals to find new ways of relating to their experiences and themselves, so that they can clarify and focus on moving towards the things that matter most in their lives. Experience Adam is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with several years’ experience in providing psychological therapy within a range of NHS mental health services and in private practice. He has expertise and training within a number of different psychological therapy models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), systemic or family therapy, existential therapy, and trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR. In practice, Adam believes in an integrative approach, that allows him to work with a range of different issues by considering the underlying processes that may be involved and adapting the therapy to the individual's needs. He has particular experience working with issues of anxiety and stress, depression and low mood, difficulties relating to significant and traumatic life events, interpersonal challenges, and strange or unusual experiences. He has additional expertise in working with issues relating to life transitions, existential concerns and physical health difficulties.
