About me

Are you currently feeling overwhelmed, anxious or struggling with low mood? As an accredited BABCP therapist I am highly experienced working with adults struggling with a range of mental health problems. I will work with you at a gentle pace, identifying and unravelling the difficulties you are experiencing, the impact on your daily life and the goals you would like to reach. Along with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, I use Compassion Focussed Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Acceptance Commitment therapy and Behavioural Activation in my practice. They will be tailored to your unique circumstances, and we will work together, exploring helpful strategies in a supportive and empathetic environment to move towards cognitive change, stability and increased self-worth. The areas I specialise in are trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias including emetophobia, depression, panic, generalised anxiety, social and health anxiety. I am also a fully qualified Long Term Conditions trained therapist and have worked with both groups and individuals to help find value and meaning in daily life despite ongoing pain and medical conditions using CBT Techniques. Throughout my 10 years+ career I have worked as a Senior CBT therapist with NHS patients, in GP surgeries, Health Centres, community as well as Private Therapy and supervised qualified and trainee CBT therapists. This has enabled me to witness the clear benefits that CBT therapy can make to bring about positive change.
