When she meets with you, she takes time to explore the difficulties you are currently facing, your goals for therapy, and what factors may be contributing to your current distress. She aims to support clients to build on their strengths, as well as to learn new skills, to both overcome their current life challenges and build strategies for future coping. As a psychologist, Stephanie has a strong commitment to evidence-based therapies and takes time to consider what approaches may be best suited to the difficulties you experience. She does believe that there is no “one size fits all” and can provide a more flexible and integrative therapy that is tailored to your particular need, drawing on a variety of approaches. Her main models of therapy include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She also draws upon compassion-focussed, mindfulness and systemic approaches. Stephanie is a Clinical Psychologist, accredited DBT therapist and accredited with the BABCP. She has experience of supporting individuals, couples and families working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including complex PTSD, depression and anxiety. She specialises in working with those who struggle with complex trauma, complex emotional needs and with individual who may have a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder.
